Watt/I-80 Elevator Modernization

Public NoticeInvitation for BidWATT/I-80 ELEVATOR MODERNIZATIONNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is soliciting bids for the modernization of two hydraulic passenger elevators, including but not limited to: All engineering, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and performance of all Work involved at SacRT’s Watt/I-80 Bus and Light Rail Station elevators. The foregoing includes: mobilization; compliance with general conditions; maintaining existing SacRT operations; coordination with other contractors; required staging, hoisting and movement to, on, and from the site, including new equipment; and dismantling and removal of existing equipment; hoistway, pit, and machine room barricades as required; inspection and testing; and incidentals, and operating permits required to satisfactorily complete elevator modernization. All equipment must be new unless specifically identified as “Reuse,” “Retain,” or “Recondition.” All retained equipment must be reconditioned to “like new” condition and must meet all performance requirements. Contractor may modernize only one elevator at a time. This is a public works project financed by state and federal funds. This project is subject to the Buy America provisions set forth in 49 USC 5323 and 49 CFR Part 661. Contractor must comply with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations.This contract is subject to a financial assistance contract between SacRT and the US Dept. of Transportation. All bidders will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General's list of ineligible contractors. Contractor will be required to comply with all EEO laws and regulations.It is the policy of the U.S. Department of Transportation that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) as defined in 49 CFR Part 26 are encouraged to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with federal funds.
