Full Description

The NCTD Positive Train Control (PTC) system uses radio, cellular, and fiber paths for redundant communications. The PTC communications segment from the wayside to the office includes the use of routers that have reached end of useful life and are no longer manufactured as spares. The goal of this project is to procure routers to replace and supplement units currently installed along the NCTD San Diego subdivision to improve the overall reliability and resiliency of the communications segment.
