Full Description

The Kenton County Airport Board (“KCAB”) is soliciting proposals relating to Wearables-as-a-Service at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (“CVG”). CVG and commercial aviation as a whole operate in an increasingly dynamic environment. As of 2017 and YTD 2018, CVG is the fastest growing U.S. airport for passenger and cargo service, demonstrating double-digit growth year-over-year in both categories. Passenger activity, excluding non-traveling public visitors to CVG, is anticipated to reach 7 million in 2017, nearing 8 million in 2018/19, and exceeding 9 million by 2020/2021. These are believed to be conservative estimates based upon current actual growth. KCAB intends to maintain a ready posture with adequate flexibility to quickly respond to these changes. Therefore, proposals and demonstrations are being solicited requiring substantial detail to permit a contract to be awarded. Equally, KCAB is looking for a partner-solution where both organizations identify and propel wearable solutions. As part of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) KCAB is considering future product scalability. KCAB reserves the right to add or subtract any portion of the services proposed to the extent it is beneficial to KCAB. Additionally, to leverage scalability and flexibility, KCAB encourages proposers to provide innovative solutions in consideration for cellular and/or Wi-Fi connectivity, cloud-based hosting, rapid programming services and solution deployment, direct and/or indirect support by the wearable solution manufacturer, ability to apply the solution to multiple mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and personalized service capabilities by integrating sources from alternate KCAB provisioned data through back-end API support.
