The City of Redlands Quality of Life Department, Equipment Maintenance Division, is soliciting bids to establish an agreement for Welding Repair, Fabrication, and Machine Work Services for the City’s fleet and/or equipment. Vendor will need to have a gated storage area for City’s vehicles on their facility, have the ability to retrieve and deliver equipment and/or vehicles to the City’s Corporate Yard located at: 1270 W. Park Avenue, and on-property machine capacity of mills and lathes, bridge crane, and fabrication equipment at vendor’s location. The City reserves the right to tour the facility to confirm compliance prior to award.Welders will need to be certified and must possess an AWS D1.1 Certification. Upon request the vendor will need to supply copies of their welder’s certifications.Vendor will provide an hourly cost for welding repairs, fabrication, and machine work to include all supplies needed to repair all City vehicles. *Example of welding repairs, fabrication, and machine work services:Welding Repairs:• Solid Waste truck arm crack repairs (3 hour maximum);• Repair body pivots on Solid Waste trucks (5 hour maximum);• Weld pin on Solid Waste truck arm (3 hour maximum);• Repair and/or replace floor and follow plate inside Solid Waste truck (9 hour maximum); and• Repair air tank brackets on Solid Waste trucks (2 hour maximum).Fabrication:• Miscellaneous racks (5 hour maximum); • Miscellaneous brackets (3 hour maximum); and• Protection devices (2 hour maximum).
