Well 56 and 57 PFAS Pilot Study

The Eastern Municipal Water District is initiating a pilot study to address PFAS contamination in Wells 56, 57, and 59 located in Perris, California. Because Wells 56 and 57 are currently out of service due to elevated forever chemical levels, the project will utilize Well 59 as the primary testing site due to its similar water quality and continuous stream. The scope of work involves a side-by-side performance comparison between granular active carbon and ion exchange resin media to determine the most effective treatment method. Additionally, the study will evaluate media change out frequency to assess the long-term impact on operation and maintenance costs.
