Well Inspection And Rehabilitation Of Orange Grove Well 6 Project

The City of Arcadia is soliciting bids for the Well Inspection and Rehabilitation of Orange Grove Well 6 Project, located at 67 W. Orange Grove Avenue, Arcadia, California. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of the motor and well pump, chemical treatment and redevelopment of the well, and the performance of color video surveys both before and after cleaning. Additional requirements include water quality testing, on-site chlorination, and sandblasting and painting of the well head. All work must be performed in accordance with the latest California Well Standards and the Green Book, and the contractor must hold a valid Class C-57 California Contractor's License. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the total base bid price. Bids must be submitted to the Office of the City Clerk by 11:00 a.m. on November 19, 2026, and must include a bid security of at least 10% of the total bid price. The successful contractor will be required to provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price and comply with Los Angeles County prevailing wage rates. The project is scheduled to begin in February 2027, with a completion timeline of 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Payment will be made via monthly progress payments, subject to a 5% retention until the work is complete.
