The East Valley Water District is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive engineering support for the drilling and equipping of Well No. 152, located at their District Headquarters in California. The project aims to develop a well capable of producing approximately 1,100 gallons per minute of disinfected potable water that complies with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. The work is divided into two main phases: the drilling design phase, which involves data collection, site evaluation, hydrological and environmental assessments, geotechnical investigations, and the preparation of detailed construction plans and bid documents; and the equipping design phase, which includes designing above-ground facilities such as a masonry building, chemical dosing systems, mechanical piping, electrical systems, HVAC, and instrumentation, along with preparing construction drawings, specifications, project schedules, and cost estimates. The contract emphasizes that the scope of work excludes bid phase support and construction oversight, focusing solely on design and planning activities. The selected firm will be responsible for completing a Preliminary Design Report during the drilling phase and providing final well design and permit support after drilling is completed. The project is structured to ensure the well meets operational and maintenance needs while adhering to regulatory standards. The contract size ranges from $500,000 to $2,000,000, with a response deadline of April 4, 2025. The primary point of contact is Nathan Carlson, reachable via email or phone, and interested firms can find additional details through the provided online portal.
