West End Flood Mitigation Channel - Phase 1

The West End Flood Mitigation Channel - Phase 1 project, solicitation number PW2026-16, involves erosion and sediment control installation and earthworks for the North Channel located at 8859 Beachwood Road, Wasaga Beach. The scope of work includes clearing and grubbing, topsoil stripping, cut and fill operations with a minimum 98% SPMDD compaction, the construction of a granular maintenance access road, and the supply and installation of culverts. Contractors are responsible for environmental protection to minimize adverse effects on the natural environment and must manage waste disposal in accordance with OPSS 180. Technical documentation for the project includes interim grading plans, geotechnical investigation reports regarding subsurface soil and groundwater conditions, and specific erosion and sediment control plans.
