West Main/Elliots Crossing Water, Sewer, Storm Drainage and Street Improvements

The contract involves extensive water, sewer, storm drainage, and street improvements within the City of Thomaston, Georgia. Key work includes the installation of 3,700 linear feet of 8-inch CL350 ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main along with 90 meters, new service lines installed by both open cut and trenchless methods, and the addition of new hydrants, gate valves, fittings, and necessary testing. Additionally, 3,572 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer main will be installed using similar construction methods, supplemented by 16 new manholes and 90 cleanouts. The scope also encompasses installation of a stormwater pond with associated outlet control structures and headwalls, plus various reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) ranging from 18 to 42 inches in diameter totaling over 2,400 linear feet, as well as catch basins and junction boxes within the right-of-way. Further street improvements include approximately three-quarters of a mile of full-depth asphalt paving, removal and replacement of driveway aprons on specified roads, curb and gutter installation along paved roadways, and raising or lowering of valves and manholes as needed. The project also covers installation of new road signage and striping. All work will be completed as per the detailed plans and specifications, with testing included to ensure compliance and quality.
