West Sunset Lift Station

The West Sunset Lift Station project, solicitation ITB WS 79-26, is an infrastructure initiative by the Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners in Florida to replace an antiquated sanitary sewer lift station in Fort Walton Beach. The project involves site preparation, clearing, and the installation of a corrosion-proof polymer concrete precast wet well using the caisson method. Key equipment installations include 316 SS discharge piping, two 15 HP non-clog explosion-proof pumps, a guide rail system, and associated electrical components, including a motor control center and HMI control panels. The contract is based on a unit price bidding model and will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The performance period requires substantial completion within 180 calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Bidders must comply with extensive regulatory and legal requirements, including SAM registration, Buy America certifications, E-Verify employment eligibility, and Florida-specific mandates such as the Anti-Human Trafficking Affidavit and the Scrutinized Companies List certification. The contractor is required to provide a bid bond, a 5% supply bond, and maintain builder's risk insurance, naming the County and Ardurra Group, Inc. as additional insureds. All work must adhere to the 100% design plans and technical specifications provided by Ardurra Group and the geotechnical report by Southern Earth Sciences, Inc.
