ADVERTISEMENT FOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES UCLA requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the purpose of selecting a Geotechnical Engineer for the West Valley Medical Center Master Plan Study (Project #908066.01), located at 7300 Medical Center Drive, West Hills, CA 91307. Based on the project phasing and scopes developed, geotechnical services may be provided under various project names and numbers. Proposed projects include the construction of a new hospital and central plant, the construction of a new parking structure, and the renovation of the existing Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit building, a 2-story, 40,000 SF addition to the existing hospital constructed in 2012. Site circulation and utility improvements are also planned for the project. The hospital and parking structure will be constructed using the Progressive Design-Build (PDB) and Design-Build (DB) delivery methods, respectively. The project aims to achieve LEED Gold, at a minimum. It is expected that the California Department of Healthcare Access and Information (HCAI) and other state agencies will review and approve the geotechnical reports prepared for this project.
