West View Kitchen Renovation

The South Bay Union School District is soliciting bids for the West View Kitchen Renovation project at West View Elementary School in Imperial Beach, California. The scope of work requires a qualified B – General Building Contractor to renovate the kitchen, servery, and storage areas in Building B, as well as the restrooms in Building C. Additionally, the project includes exterior grading and site work to support utility and accessibility improvements. On-site construction is scheduled to take place from January 1, 2027, through June 30, 2027. Eligible bidders must hold a B – General Building Contractor license and a valid DIR registration number, which is also required for all subcontractors. As a public works project, contractors must utilize prevailing wages to determine labor costs. Bids are due by November 18, 2026, at 1:00 pm and must be submitted to the District Facilities Office in San Diego. Each submission must include a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or cash totaling 10 percent of the bid price plus reasonable fees. Furthermore, the successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds issued by a California-admitted surety in an amount equal to 10 percent of the contract price.
