Bid #HSIPSL-5223(028): The project involves pedestrian crossing enhancements on Whitley Avenue. Work includes concrete demolition and construction of sidewalks, curb & gutter, and curb extensions. It also includes asphalt demolition and paving, landscaping, installation of grates, and signage, specifically rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) with pedestrian-activated push buttons and flood lights. Other tasks include construction staking, traffic control, water pollution control, sawcutting, installation of detectable warning surfaces, median curbs, retaining curbs, decomposed granite, Class II aggregate base, hot mix asphalt Type 'A', and adjustment of utility covers to grade. The project also requires paint traffic striping, pavement markings, and signage. Hot and cold weather concreting practices are specified.
