The Province of British Columbia, through the BC Wildfire Service, is seeking qualified respondents to provide Wildfire Task Force Control Line Services under solicitation BC229557, with responses due by June 10, 2026. These services involve the deployment of specialized equipment and personnel to construct control lines—wide, cleared paths devoid of vegetation and fuel—that serve as firebreaks to contain and suppress wildfires. The scale of each control line will be tailored to the size and complexity of the wildfire incident. Two permanent service arrangements are being established, with one based in Vanderhoof and the other in Dawson Creek, each designated as a Fire Zone, and respondents may submit proposals for one or both zones depending on their capacity and resources. The solicitation falls under NAICS code 238990 and is issued by the BC Wildfire Service, a branch of the Ministry of Forests, operating under the Government of Canada. Interested parties must submit their responses via the online portal by the specified deadline, with all technical and operational requirements aligned to the needs of wildfire suppression in British Columbia’s forested regions. Primary point of contact for inquiries is the Contracting Authority at BCWS.ProcurementSupport@gov.bc.ca. The arrangement is intended to ensure rapid, reliable, and locally based response capabilities to support wildfire management across the province's critical fire zones.
