The Province invites Respondents to submit Responses for the provision of Wildfire Task Force Control Line Services, which will be provided to BC Wildfire Service (“BCWS”), a branch within the Ministry of Forests.Wildfire Task Force Control Line Services require the equipment and personnel, to construct control lines, which are wide paths or dirt roads where all fuel is removed from the ground. The control lines vary in size depending on the size of the Incident. The Province is seeking to establish two Standing Arrangements for the provision of Wildfire Task Force Control Line Services, one for the services to be based in Vanderhoof and the other in Dawson Creek (each a “Fire Zone”; collectively the “Fire Zones”).A Respondent with sufficient resources may propose to provide Wildfire Task Force Control Line Services in one or both Fire Zones.
