The Yates County Soil & Water Conservation District is seeking bids for a stream stabilization project located off Williams Hill Road in the Town of Jerusalem, NY. The project involves installing approximately 1,530 feet of stream stabilization, including full-length stone installation, around 12 stone cross vanes, and post-construction site stabilization, with construction planned for 2024 contingent on suitable dry stream bed conditions. The work will be performed on agricultural land without prevailing wage requirements, and the contract will be directly with the farm rather than the District. Bidders must submit their proposals by September 20, 2024, at 3:00 pm via email to Tom Eskildsen, who can also provide bid forms, design packets, and arrange site visits. The project has a contract value estimated between $150,000 and $300,000, and there are no specific set-aside goals for minority, women, service-disabled veteran, or disadvantaged business participation. The solicitation is organized under NAICS code 237990 and is part of a broader effort by Yates County to improve stream stability and environmental resilience in the area.
