The Work consists of consists of providing approximately 1,035 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron, polyethylene wrapped and 700 linear feet of 4-, 6-, 8- and 12-inch ductile iron, polyethylene wrapped water main along Williamsburg Road and Chapman Lane; the installation of approximately five (5) water services and four (4) fire hydrants; and providing site and pavement restoration and providing all other work as required by the Contract Documents in order to provide a complete system as described herein.
 
This project is federally funded through the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) under Emerging Contaminants in Small or Disadvantaged Communities Agreement No. VDH-26-103-0087. Federal requirements are needed for this project.
 
MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President’s Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and Section 70901 of P. L. 117-58 of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, 2021. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
