The Work consists of consists of providing approximately 1,035 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron, polyethylene wrapped and 700 linear feet of 4-, 6-, 8- and 12-inch ductile iron, polyethylene wrapped water main along Williamsburg Road and Chapman Lane; the installation of approximately five (5) water services and four (4) fire hydrants; and providing site and pavement restoration and providing all other work as required by the Contract Documents in order to provide a complete system as described herein.
 
This project is federally funded through the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) under Emerging Contaminants in Small or Disadvantaged Communities Agreement No. VDH-26-103-0087. Federal requirements are needed for this project.
 
MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President’s Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and Section 70901 of P. L. 117-58 of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, 2021.
