The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division is amending contract N00164-06-D-8974 to increase the maximum quantities of High Temperature Window Assemblies for the AN/SPS-48E radar antenna from 4,000 units to 15,500 units, with a corresponding adjustment in the contract’s maximum dollar value. These window assemblies are manufactured according to specific technical specifications, including an aluminum alloy frame and insert, and a boron nitride window, all requiring a stringent leakage rate of less than 10cc per minute under defined pressure conditions and subject to 100% inspection. The existing contract terms and conditions remain unchanged aside from these modifications. The contract modification will be executed on a sole source basis with W. M. Machine Company of Gardena, California, as no other manufacturer meets the required specifications and approval for use with the AN/SPS-48E radar antenna system. Government regulations under FAR 6.302-1 authorize this non-competitive procurement. Delivery will be FOB Destination to NSWC Crane, Indiana. Although the government intends to negotiate solely with W.M. Machine Company, it invites other interested parties to submit responses within fifteen days of the synopsis publication for consideration, with the government retaining discretion on whether to pursue competitive procurement. All submissions must be sent directly to the specified point of contact at NSWC Crane.
