Winter Sand Tender

The Township of Stirling-Rawdon has issued a Request for Quote for the supply, hauling, treatment, and stockpiling of approximately 6,000 tonnes of screened winter sand. The scope of work involves replenishing stockpiles at the Stirling Public Works Storage Yard, with an estimated 3,500 tonnes, and the Springbrook Roads Department Storage Yard, with an estimated 2,500 tonnes. These activities are scheduled for the fall of 2026, with additional refills required at the discretion of the Public Works Manager prior to the 2027 half load season. While the contractor is responsible for the sand, the Township will supply the salt used for treatment. Technical requirements must adhere to MTO Standard Specifications. To be eligible for award, bidders must submit their quotes by September 25, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. Mandatory submission requirements include the official Township Quote Form, a signed and witnessed Letter of Transmittal, a WSIB Clearance Certificate, and a certified cheque deposit of at least 10% of the total quote. Contractors must maintain a comprehensive public liability and property damage insurance policy with a minimum coverage limit of $5,000,000.00, naming the Township of Stirling-Rawdon as an additional insured. Payment will be processed after the Public Works Manager accepts the work and prepares a final statement of quantities and prices, which the contractor must certify.
