This contract, issued by the Department of Defense’s ASC Supplier Oper OEM Division, solicits the procurement of 20 units of a wire rope assembly (NSN 4010-01-085-8604) with a delivery timeline of 171 days after order. The procurement follows a federal acquisition process requiring adherence to stringent packaging, marking, preservation, and cybersecurity standards. Packaging must conform to MIL-STD-2073-1E, with preservation conducted under MIL-PRF-23199E, and marking in accordance with MIL-STD-129, including hazardous material communication compliant with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard. The wire rope assemblies will be inspected and accepted at origin, with quality compliance ensured via standards such as SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001, and sampling governed by MIL-STD-1916 and MIL-STD-105/ASQ Z1.4 with zero non-conformance tolerance. Significant emphasis is placed on export control of technical data governed by ITAR/EAR regulations, limiting data distribution to contractors certified under the US/Canada Joint Certification Program and trained in handling export-controlled data, reflecting strict national security considerations. The contract includes numerous FAR and DFARS clauses addressing equal opportunity, combating trafficking in persons, employment eligibility verification, cyber incident reporting, transportation, and contract administration. Cybersecurity compliance per NIST SP 800-171 is mandatory, with results required to be current and posted in the Supplier Performance Risk System, reinforcing cybersecurity as a prerequisite for award. Socioeconomic preferences, including HUBZone and small business status, play a role in evaluation though the basis of award is not explicitly stated. Proposal submission is exclusively via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) by May 20, 2026, and invoicing will be conducted electronically through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). Overall, the contract reflects a rigorous, compliance-driven procurement process aligned with federal acquisition regulations, security controls, and contractor quality assurance for a defense-related product.
