Wire Saw System

The Air Force is seeking to procure a complete turn-key Wire Saw System, specifically a Husqvarna CS 2512 or an equivalent model. The system includes a wire saw designed for cutting steel and concrete, powered by a hydraulic motor delivering at least 20 kilowatts with a minimum spindle starting torque of 190 Newton-meters. It features water cooling at a minimum pressure of 30 psi, a variable gearbox enabling wire speeds between 65 and 80 feet per second, and weighs no more than 330 pounds. The saw must be capable of vertical and horizontal cuts, equipped with a protective guard, adjustable hydraulic pressure with visible monitoring, water outlet for cooling, mobility features like wheels and handle, and can be anchored during operation. Additionally, it stores at least 52 feet of diamond wire and includes a tension indicator and a comprehensive maintenance toolkit along with both physical and digital operator manuals. The system also includes a power pack powered by an electric motor that can operate the wire saw from 20 feet away. The power pack must have emergency stop and ON/OFF controls, a remote control with a minimum 25-foot cable and optional wireless capability (which can be disabled), an analog display for voltage monitoring, and safety features like fail-safe shutdown during overheating. It should support a hydraulic output of at least 25 kW, have lifting contact points for secure transport, and weigh no more than 310 pounds. Accessories include two pulley fixtures compatible with wire diameters from 6mm to 12mm, a hydraulic crimping tool for 10.3mm diamond wire, 150 crimps, 300 feet of 10.3mm diamond wire, additional mounting fixtures for wire redirection, hydraulic lines rated for 3,340 PSI with necessary connectors, a water nozzle for cooling the cutting wire, and a minimum of two days of operational and maintenance training. The contract is a firm fixed price, total small business set-aside, with a 30-day period of performance after award. Only vendors registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and either manufacturers or authorized resellers of the wire saw system are eligible to respond.
