Wireless Right-of-Way Permit No, 22 .. 016. Coastal Development Permit Exemption No. 26-055, and Categorical Exemption No. 26-053

An application has been submitted to reinstall and modify an existing T-Mobile wireless facility on a Southern California Edison wood utility pole located in the public right-of-way near the 3700 block of Las Flores Canyon Road in Malibu, California. The project involves replacing all previously installed equipment and appurtenances that were damaged during the 2025 Palisades Fire, including one antenna arm mount, one bidirectional antenna approximately 15 inches in diameter, one equipment shroud housing pole-mounted radio equipment, two remote radio units, two diplexers, RF caution signage, new coaxial cabling, and related hardware. Groundwork includes installing one new grounding rod and removing and replacing approximately 152 linear feet of fire-damaged conduit. The work will occur on the existing SCE pole identified as 3003021. In addition to receiving a Wireless Right-of-Way Permit, Coastal Development Permit Exemption, and Categorical Exemption from the City of Malibu, the applicant must secure approval from Southern California Edison for pole use and obtain an encroachment permit from the City Public Works Department.
