Sealed bids for the above project will be received from Contractors by the City of Centralia City Clerk, 118 W. Maple Street, (PO Box 609), Centralia, Washington 98531, until 10:00 a.m., October 8, 2026 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This contract is for utility and roadway improvements on Woodland Avenue and surrounding area in Centralia, Washington. This project includes upgrading an existing sanitary sewer pump station, gravity sewer, force main sewer, watermain replacement, stormwater improvements, street lighting, sidewalk and ADA ramp installation, asphalt paving, striping, and other work all in accordance with the contract plans, contract provisions and City of Centralia Design and Development Standards.
 
The City of hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.  The City of encourages contracting procedures that provide M/WBEs equal opportunity to participate as subcontractor on City contracts.
 
All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by cash, bid bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Centralia, in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total bid.  The bid shall be labeled Woodland Avenue Improvements and Jefferson Pump Station Phase II Project Bid on the envelope.
 
The City of reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive irregularities in the bid or bidding.
