The Workers' Compensation Board of Alberta is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to provide a specialized business continuity management tool. The goal is to acquire a cloud-based software or service solution that enhances planning, incident response, and targeted crisis communication more effectively than their current tools like MS Teams, Word/Excel, Clarity, and NetSupport Notify. This new solution must operate independently of the WCB's core IT environment to ensure accessibility and functionality even if the organization's networks or systems are compromised, enabling quick recovery and uninterrupted delivery of critical services during disruptions. The contract solicits proven business continuity management solutions that facilitate streamlined coordination among key stakeholders, offering real-time incident management and communication internally and externally. The RFP was issued by the Government of Canada agency, the Workers' Compensation Board of Alberta, with proposals due by January 23, 2026. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified Suppliers for the provision of a specialized business continuity management tool. The WCB is seeking to purchase a software or service solution that will enable the WCB to streamline planning, enhance real-time incident response, and improve targeted and crisis communication both internally and externally. The selected solution will replace the existing planning, incident management and emergency communications currently in existing tools such as MS Teams, Word/Excel, Clarity and NetSupport Notify. This initiative seeks a tool that operates outside our core environment ensuring we can effectively respond even if our networks or systems are compromised. A cloud-based, independent solution will allow key stakeholders to access plans, coordinate responses, and communicate effectively, ensuring quick recovery and continued delivery of critical WCB services, through any business disruption. Suppliers are invited to propose solutions that demonstrate proven capabilities in business continuity management software or service solutions.
