Workforce Equity Assessment

The Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) is initiating a contract to engage a qualified firm to evaluate and enhance its workplace environment through equity principles. The core objective of this initiative is to guarantee equitable treatment and access to opportunities for all members of the agency, irrespective of their identity or background. This step is part of a broader strategy to build a foundation for future enhancements in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) within the organization. Under this contract, the selected contractor will undertake a comprehensive assessment of the WSIB's DEIB strategies and outcomes. Key responsibilities include scrutinizing the organization's DEIB policies, conducting climate surveys in a hybrid work setting, and analyzing workforce data for any disparities using the WSIB Diversity Metrics Dashboard. Additionally, the contractor is expected to perform stakeholder interviews, administer equity and implicit bias assessments, review existing HR policies, and benchmark against industry norms. The ultimate goal is to provide actionable recommendations to foster a more equitable work environment. This contract will commence around March 3, 2025, and conclude by February 27, 2026, with services delivered at the WSIB office in Olympia, Washington.
