Improvements along Wrightsburg Way within the City of Zebulon include edge milling of existing asphalt pavement, full-depth pavement patching, asphalt leveling, placement of 1.5-inch, 9.5 mm Superpave asphalt overlay, traffic control, striping and signage, and all labor, materials, equipment, and incidental work necessary to complete the project. Milling is limited to approx. 7-foot widths at the pavement edges adjacent to the existing gutter line, and to an approx. 15-foot length at the end of the project limits where the proposed overlay ends. The depth of milling will transition from zero inches at the existing roadway grade to a maximum depth of 1.5 inches below grade so that the endpoints of the 1.5-inch overlay will transition smoothly to existing grade, both at the gutter line and at the existing roadway at the project limits.
All work shall conform to the latest edition of the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for the Construction of Transportation Systems and applicable supplemental specifications. Pay items shall be measured and paid in accordance with the GDOT specifications associated with the item number shown in the Bid Schedule unless otherwise noted.
