The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 354th Fighter Wing at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice to identify qualified contractors for on-call, critical emergency and scheduled maintenance and repair services for the Central Heat and Power Plant. The scope of work involves six coal-fired high-pressure power boilers, consisting of four Springfield Boiler Co. Model 1951 and two Indeck Keystone Energy Model 2013 units. The contractor must provide all necessary tooling, transportation, and equipment, as the government will provide no furnished property. Additionally, personnel must be vetted through the Defense Biometric Identification System and comply with all base HAZMAT and safety regulations.
