Full Description

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) intends to issue a solicitation on a sole-source basis to North Star Imaging, Inc., 19875 S Diamond Lake Rd, Rogers, MN 55374, for preventative maintenance and repair services on one (1) NSI X5000 X-View Digital X-Ray System at CPSC Laboratory. The preventative maintenance and repair services sought from North Star Imaging are needed to prevent unplanned downtime, extend the life of the system, maximize equipment performance, and minimize maintenance cost that are only provided by North Star Imaging. Another contractor could not perform the services, since North Star Imaging is the only supplier that can provide proprietary software upgrades, authorized imaging specialist, and trained technicians to work on the system. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplier or services will satisfy the agency requirement. This notice is NOT a request for competitive quote; however, any firm that believes it can supply the services may give written notice to the Contract Specialist via email at sjohnson@cpsc.gov, by 4 pm EST on February 11, 2019. SUPPORTING EVIDENCE MUST BE FURNISHED IN SUFFICIENT DETAIL, to the above listed email address, Attn: Sheryl Johnson, Contract Specialist. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS.
