Full Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, Hampton, VA intends to negotiate a commercial (GSAM Part 570) Sole Source lease under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The VA intends to award to W. H. Chambliss Properties, 532 Ingleside Ave, Emporia, VA 23847 for a maximum of 9,727 ABOA SF at its property located at 1746 East Atlantic Street, Emporia, VA 23847. Current tenant organization Emporia Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) occupies approximately 9,727 ABOA and requires a new lease. Movement to an alternate site is cost prohibitive. Staying in place saves Federal dollars for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Accordingly, the W. H. Chambliss Properties is the only firm capable of providing the supplies and services described above without the Veterans Health Administration experiencing substantial duplication of cost that could not be expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling its requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is prepared in support of this acquisition. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Applicable NAICS code is 531120. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing by e-mails addressed to contact@example.gov. Responses will be accepted no later than 4:30 PM (EST) on March 25, 2020.
