This notice is for Solicitation No. VA-243-09-IB-0288 - Project No. 620-07-107, Replace Building 26 Gym Roof at the Montrose Campus of the VA New York Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Route 9A, Montrose NY 10548. This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238160, and has a size standard of $14.0 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to: Provision of all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for the installation to construct a retrofit metal roof structure over the existing gym roof of Building 26 at the Montrose Campus of the Department of Veterans Affairs Hudson Valley Healthcare System. Project will involve demolishing and re-roofing of the flat portion of the lower roof in front of the gym. The gym roof is approximately 77ft X 114ft., the flat lower roof is approximately 9ft X 94ft. The roof contains asbestos-contaminated roof flashing that needs to be abated to allow roof replacement. Asbestos-contaminated materials shall be abated in accordance with New York State Industrial Code Rule 56 and Federal regulations as they pertain to asbestos abatement. All work to be completed within the timeframe of the contract documents adhering to all Dept. of Veterans Affairs regulations, OSHA regulations, and all State and Federal agencies affected by this project. Completion Time 310 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about August 5, 2009. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted.
