Full Description

The Virginia National Guard intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for award of a firm fixed price contract(s) to provide all plant, labor, supervision, transportation, materials, tools, equipment and supplies necessary to construct a Collective Training Facility (CTF) at Fort Pickett, Blackstone, VA 23824. Work will include site grading, site utilities, roads, parking areas, fencing, construction of fourteen new training structures, three new support facilities and retrofitting of fifteen existing training facilities. The construction magnitude is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. Construction completion time is expected to be approximately 548 calendar days from date of award. This requirement is being issued as a total Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business set aside under NAICS 236220 with a small business size standard of $33,500,000.00. The Federal Supply Code (FSC) is Y1JZ. Bids received from other than HUBZone Small Businesses will not be considered. The tentative solicitation issue date is August 7, 2012. The tentative date for a pre-bid conference is August 21, 2012 at Fort Pickett, Blackstone, VA. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow conference registration and post entry requirements shown in the solicitation. A site visit will follow the pre-bid conference.
