The project consists of dredging portions of the Norfolk Harbor and Craney Island Reach Federal Navigation Channel. The work consists of maintenance dredging to required depths of 47 and 51 feet MLLW each with one foot of allowable overdepth. The dredging involves approximately 525,900 cubic yards of material, including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion. The work shall be performed by a hydraulic dredge and pipeline with all dredged material transported and placed in the designated Government-furnished placement area at Craney Island. Potential bidders are informed that there will be dredging placement by others at Craney Island during this contract and only one cell of the Dredged Material Management Area will be available at a time for use during this contract. The contract duration is 60 days after receiving the notice to proceed. THIS IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 237990 applies to this procurement.
