The General Services Administration (GSA) announced an Industry Day event scheduled for May 23, 2007, in Fort Pierce, Florida, to engage prospective Small Business Subcontractors for the construction phase of a new United States District Court facility. This new courthouse will accommodate multiple federal judicial and law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. District Court, U.S. Magistrate Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. Probation Service, U.S. Pretrial Services, U.S. Attorney, U.S. Marshal Service, and GSA. The estimated contract award cost ranges between $37 million and $39 million, and the project’s architectural and engineering design team is led by Merrill Pastor Colgan in collaboration with Pierce Goodwin-Alexander and Linville. The Industry Day is designed to foster networking and collaboration between small business subcontractors and general contractors, allowing small businesses to showcase their expertise. While GSA facilitates the introduction, it will not be involved in any contractual relationships between prime contractors and subcontractors, which will be privately negotiated. The session will take place at Fort Pierce City Hall, and interested parties can contact designated GSA Small Business Outreach Specialists for further information. It is important to note that this event is informational and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposals.
