DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work includes construction of a 3-bay ogee weir spillway and incidental related work. The project includes installation of steel sheet pile dewatering cofferdam, installation of temporary and permanent access roads, site work, channel excavation, constructing a reinforced concrete spillway, fabrication and installation of three steel vertical lift gates with related electrical and mechanical work, installation of a telemetry system and installation of steel sheet pile wingwalls. Work also includes clearing and grubbing, grassing, offsite soil disposal, and turbidity monitoring. The project site is located in Okeechobee County approximately 1.5 miles south of the intersection of SR 70 and C-38 canal.
