Project Description: This project will construct a Satellite Communications Operations Center (approximately 43,000 SF), a Command/Administration Support Center (approximately 6,880 SF), a Repair and Utilities Building (approximately 5,736 SF) and a Covered Storage Shed (approximately 2,000 SF). The project will include space for electronic equipment, operations and systems maintenance support areas, technical control center, network operations center, satellite repair facility, secure conference/training areas, technical library, break area, storage, loading docks and antenna operating sites with cable trenches. The Facilities will include fire protection/detection systems, a connection to the on-site power generation system, a connection to the Energy Monitoring and Control System and installation of an Intrusion Detection System. Supporting facilities include utilities, information systems, paved parking, sidewalks, curb, gutters, storm drainage, landscaping, exterior lighting, access roads, retaining walls and site development. Each Facility will comply with force protection/antiterrorism measures to include a security fence with lighting and installation of closed circuit television. Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided. In addition, 2 small Buildings (i.e. Bldg 18029 [2,000 SF] and Bldg 18006 [3,000 SF]) will be demolished.
