Full Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention seeks sources to provide a firm-fixed-price purchase order to provide a yearly service agreement for a Markes automated thermal desorption (ATD) instrument which includes the Ultra autosampler and the Unity desorber, TD-100, UNITY 2-ULTRA, UNITY 2-AirServer, Unity 2 (U22224), Ultra 2 (M30981). Any agreement would need to include an annual preventative maintenance service visit as well as repair visits that include parts, labor, and travel. The system is currently under maintenance agreement but would need renewal starting June 5, 2018. Issuing office wishes to make this a contract with options, base year with up to four option years. One other vendor, Quantum Analytics, has currently been identified as being able to provide this service besides the manufacturer, Markes International, Inc., since any company that provides this service MUST have technicians who have been trained by Markes personnel. Quantum need not respond to this advertisement as we are already aware of their abilities. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
