YOL-16 Taylor Creek Bridge Erosion (EA 03-2N960)

The California Department of Transportation District 3 is initiating the YOL-16 Taylor Creek Bridge Erosion project, identified as EA 03-2N960, located on State Route 16 at post mile 20.14 in Yolo County. The primary objective of the project is to repair damaged slopes and an undermined embankment at the Taylor Creek Bridge to mitigate risks to motorists and prevent further structural damage. The scope of work includes installing a new drainage system to redirect runoff, roadway excavation, backfilling scour, bridge deck patching, replacing asphalt rubber joint seals, shoulder repaving, and the implementation of traffic control and incidental work. All activities will be performed within the operational right-of-way. The project is classified under NAICS code 237310 and is managed by Jason Ammerman, with project oversight from John Wong and Lisa Springer. From a regulatory standpoint, the project has been determined to be categorically exempt under CEQA Class 1(d) and categorically excluded under NEPA per 23 CFR 771.117 and 23 USC 327, as the work involves repairing existing infrastructure without expanding its use.
