The Department of the Interior is forecasting a project for the replacement of the Badger Pass water tank and distribution system. The existing infrastructure is over 60 years old and has exceeded its intended service life, leading to the degradation of distribution materials in several locations. This deterioration poses significant health risks to visitors due to the potential for bacteria and foreign media to enter the drinking water supply. Additionally, the water tank has sustained physical damage from ice and surrounding trees during the heavy winter of 2022/23, necessitating comprehensive replacement efforts. This contract is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR 19.5, specifically targeting small business entities. The project falls under NAICS code 237110, which pertains to water and sewer line and related structures construction. Interested parties can coordinate with the Department of the Interior through the identified points of contact, including the Small Business Specialist and the designated project contact, to monitor the acquisition process as it moves forward from its current forecast status.
