This project is a Total Hub-Zone Set-Aside. GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this contract is to furnish all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary for base item: construction of a 30 foot long by 6 foot wide dock and removal from site of the existing dock that is located nearby off of Forest Trail number 625, aka Chief Shakes Hot Springs Trail, and option item one, the construction of approximately 290 feet of 2 foot wide boardwalk trail and foundation system, and option item two, removal of existing trail. PROJECT LOCATION: The project area is located on the Stikine-LeConte Wilderness and provides access to the Chief Shakes Hot Springs day use site located on the Wrangell Ranger District, Southeast, Alaska. Because this project is located in the Stikine- LeConte Wilderness; the use or possession of motorized tools or equipment for this project is prohibited. The trail location is approximately 28 miles Northeast of Wrangell, up the Stikine River, at Hot Springs Slough off of Ketili Slough. Ease of access depends on the river level. PERFORMANCE PERIOD and PRICE RANGE The estimated price range for this acquisition is $25,000 to $100,000. The performance period is 153 days with an estimated start date of June 1, 2008. SOLICITATION INFORMATION: The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about March 24, 2008 for viewing and printing. Potential quoters are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet.
