The Seattle District US Army Corps of Engineers requires the placement of oyster shell in interdial area to create habitat for juvenile Dungeness crab. There may be placement of up to 15,000 cubic yards (cy) of shell on approximately 15 hectares (40 acres ). There may be placement of up to 15, 000 cy of shell before 30 March 2006. Placement of shell will be by mechanical equipment (clamshell, front-end loader, backhoe, etc.) from the contractors barge at high tide. Completion of all work will be in acco rdance with the plans and specifications package. The solicitation will yield a firm-fixed price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $31 million. Project is open only to HUBZone cert ified businesses. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $31 million.
