Z -- HVAC Alterations: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning

Subject to final approval, the Bureau of The Public Debt intends to acquire on a sole-source basis through Leased Housing Developer Company, Parkersburg, WV, for HVAC Alterations. In accordance with the Lease Rider Number 1, Lease Number GS-03B-0640, Paragraph 5, Subpart A, the Lessor (Leased Housing Developer Company) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the HVAC system. HVAC Alterations must support and reconfigure to existing HVAC requirements set forth in the lease. Contracting with the Lessor will insure that the Lessor remains responsible for the continued operation and maintenance of the system. An outside contractor would negate the Lessor's responsibility for errors or damage that might occur. The Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Services are being solicited and awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR 13.5. This notice of intent is not a request for quote. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. A request for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response. Written responses shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the requirement at terms more advantageous to the Government. Public Debt will consider all written responses received no later than 2:00 p.m. EST, February 15, 2006. If no written response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government, we will make a sole-source award to Leased Housing Developer Company.
