Z--Maintenance Dredging 7-Foot Channel Cocheco River, Dover, New Hampshire

This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. The work of this project consists of maintenance dredging of selected portions the three mile long and seven foot deep Federal Navigation Channel of the Cocheco River in Dover, New Hampshire. Dredging in the Federal Channel shall be performed from the confluence of the Cocheco River and Piscataqua River to the head of navigation in the Cocheco River. Dredged materials will include primarily silt and sands with cobbles and boulders. Some minor ledge removal is required, if the optional work is exercised. The Contractor is responsible for developing the scow off-load site which is just beyond the upstream limit of the navigation channel. Disposal of dredged materials by the Contractor shall be in the disposal facility owned by the City of Dover and adjacent to the offload site
