Z--Award Notice - Maintenance Dredging, Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway, Bogue Inlet Crossing to Shallotte Inlet Crossing, Carteret, and Brunswick Counties.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to provide Maintenance Dredging, Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, Bogue Inlet Crossing to Shallotte Inlet Crossing, Carteret, and Brunswick Counties, North Carolina. The work includes maintenance dredging of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway channel at Bogue Inlet Crossing, Lockwoods Folly Inlet Crossing and Shallotte Inlet Crossing. The work will consist of removal and disposal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels since the various areas were last dredged. The dredging shall be performed by hydraulic cutterhead suction dredge. Dredging depth is 12' plus 2' of allowable over depth. The estimated quantity of material to be dredged is 200,000 cubic yards. Disposal of dredged material will be on ocean beaches. There is an environmental window for placement of dredged material on ocean beaches from 16 November to 30 April. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Network analysis will not be required. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 30 July 2013. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc) will be provided. This solicitation is 100% Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $20,000,000.00.
