The VA Loma Linda Health Care System is conducting a sources sought announcement to identify businesses capable of providing pond cleaning services at their facility in Loma Linda, California. This announcement is intended solely for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposals, nor does it obligate the Government to award a contract. The work involves cleaning a pond located outside the Medical Center, which includes temporarily relocating fish and returning them after cleaning. Interested companies are requested to submit written responses containing company details, size and ownership status (e.g., Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman Owned Small Business, etc.), small business status under NAICS code 561730, information on any existing federal contracts, general pricing for market research, and a capability statement verifying their qualifications and ability to perform the work. Responses must be submitted via email by June 12, 2018, and telephone responses will not be accepted. The Government emphasizes that responding to this announcement is separate from responding to any future solicitation, which may or may not be issued based on the market research results. There is a preference for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, but alternate acquisition strategies may be pursued if sufficient responses are not received from these firms. Vendors must be registered in SAM and, if applicable, the VA’s VetBiz Registry to participate. No subcontracting opportunities are expected, and all potential bidders must be authorized resellers if a solicitation is issued. This process is intended to inform acquisition decisions and does not guarantee contract award.
