Z -- Relocate 4160V Primary Underground

Relocate Primary 4160V Underground, Project JLSS 01-0008. Proposals will be evaluated pursuant to FAR 15.101-1, Price/Performance Tradeoff (PPT). Evaluation factors shall be set forth in the Request for Proposal. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of the northwest section of overhead utility distribution system to include poles and accessories, primary/secondary cables, transformers and brackets, conduit and transformer pad and fencing. Saw cut asphalt concrete, excavate, and install concrete encased four-inch duct bank(s) and one electrical manhole and two hand holes. Install new U/G primary service using #2/0 - 15KV cable. Install three pad-mounted duel rated transformers (1-225KVA and 2-300 KVA) to feed power to seven buildings. Transformers to be controlled from four pad-mounted 3-way air interrupter switches. Run new secondary wiring from transformers to building main disconnect panels. Install two aluminum exterior pole mounted lighting fixtures with high-pressure sodium lamps. Lights are to be controlled thru a photoelectric cell. Restore all concrete/asphalt areas, and landscape all affected ground areas. Perform all work under a single lump sum firm fixed-price contract. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract documents. Solicitation package will be available o/a 26 Apr 04. Performance period is 270 calendar days after NTP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered as the solicitation will be issued under full and open competition. The estimated cost ranges between $100,000 and $500,000. The NAICS code is 238210. The applicable size standard is $12,000,000. Telephone requests will not be honored. It is our intent to post the solicitation on the WEB.
