Solicitation 140P6023B0002 is a total small business set-aside contract awarded by the Department of the Interior, specifically the Mwr Midwest Region, for the replacement of the Visitor Center septic tank and leach field at Fort Larned National Historic Site in Larned, Kansas. The project scope includes the removal of the existing septic tank and sewer line and the installation of a new septic tank with a minimum capacity of 1,800 gallons, a lift station, a force main installed via directional drilling, and a new drain field, followed by full surface restoration. The estimated project magnitude is between 250,000 and 500,000 dollars, with a required performance period of 90 calendar days. Technical requirements specify the use of 4,500 PSI concrete for the septic tank and adherence to ASTM C1227-13 standards, including mandatory hydrostatic testing.
