Z--Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) for Construction Services in Kansas and Nebraska

This is a sources sought announcement indicating the Governments intent to award a Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) which will provide for construction services at various locations within the Kansas City District. The contract will be for the Kansas and Nebraska portion of the Kansas City District with an allowable inclusion of twenty (20) miles east of the border into Missouri and Iowa. Work under the Scope of Work (SOW) involves construction services for stream bank and shoreline protection, small ecosystem/habitat restoration and small flood protection, aquatic ecosystem restoration, levee repairs, and maintenance items at the lake projects including grading, parking lots, small buildings, erosion repair, and road repairs. Other similar work at various military installations could also be requested. The SATOC will be set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses only. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the small business size standard is $33,500,000.00. Per the direction of FAR 4.5 Electronic Commerce in Contracting, The Federal Government shall use electronic commerce whenever practicable or cost-effective. If a solicitation is released in connection to this requirement, vendors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for an award. Firms can register via the CCR internet site at http://www.ccr.gov. Potential vendors must also complete their online representations and certifications. To do so requires CCR registration, including an MPIN number. This sources sought notice is solely for the Governments use as a market research tool. As such, the issuance of a competitive solicitation is not guaranteed. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this notice with a statement of interest on company letterhead no later than March 31st, 2009 by 15:00 (CST). The response to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed twenty (20) pages. All attachments must be provided in either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
