This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation, and no solicitation package exists at this time.
Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, in support of Veteran Affairs Puget Sound Health Care Systems, American Lake Campus, Lakewood, WA is currently requesting information to determine the existence of viable sources capable of providing construction services.
Description of Services: Project Number 663A4-24-209 Replace Fire Suppression System to Building 61. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to replace the fire suppression systems at Building 61 in accordance with the associated and published/provided contract 100% Construction Documents (Drawings, Specifications, etc.). The Government requires the newly replaced systems to operate seamlessly with the existing systems at the American Lake campus. The replacement of the existing systems is to be performed within tolerance delineated in the Manufacturer's Installation Instructions. The new replacement packages will be submitted in accordance with the contract submittal process and approved by the Government prior to the Contractor proceeding with any part of the scope of work.
Work includes all associated aspects, including but not limited to, cutting and patching, and repair of finishes. Removal and disposal of existing equipment, materials etc. Replacement of the dry-pipe sprinkler system in the attic, including connection to existing fire alarm system and new nitrogen generator Installation of the new fire alarm control panel 1st, 2nd & 3rd floor replacement of sprinkler heads and installation of new fire alarm system Connection of the new fire alarm system to campus monitoring Removal of the existing fire alarm system Installation of new fire alarm control panel in building 62.
The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
Period of Performance: The intended contract period of performance is 365 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed.
NAICS Code: The NAICS Code is 238210 "Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors", with a size standard of $19M.
