Solicitation # 36C26127Q0026
Project 612A4-27-018 is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside contract for the VA Northern California Health Care System to replace flooring and perform interior finishes on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Building 650 at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. The scope of work involves the replacement of approximately 38,000 square feet of carpet and luxury vinyl tile, along with the installation of new resilient wall bases and stainless steel corner guards. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for painting all rooms on both floors, which includes repairing up to 20 percent of drywall surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish. The estimated contract value is between 1 million and 2 million dollars, with a total period of performance not to exceed 240 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Due to the facility being an active hospital, the contractor must adhere to strict infection control protocols and perform most work outside of normal business hours to minimize disruption to patient care. Work will be managed in increments, with the contractor assigned no more than five rooms at a time, pending satisfactory inspection. The award will be based on a best-value trade-off considering key personnel, prior experience, past performance, and price. The contractor is required to provide a bid bond, as well as performance and payment bonds upon award, and must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act and Buy American requirements for construction materials.
