The sources sought effort is intended to assess industry capabilities and develop/support the intended direction of acquisition planning. This sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hub zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 236220. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based upon information received in response to this Sources Sought Notice, the Government shall make a determination on a procurement strategy, which shall include the type of small business set-aside, if appropriate. The eventual procurement strategy and set-aside, if appropriate, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Background & Description of Work: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking vendors to provide all necessary materials and labor to ensure correct parameters and safe operations are met by manufacturer s specifications. The scope of work is the replacement of the Surgical Air Handler (AHU). This contract includes the Surgical DX Air Handler Unit (AHU) which mechanically serves all four operating rooms located on the 3rd floor of the Main Hospital and all necessary ancillary components of the AHU including all air and cooling distribution consisting of the unit, rooftop mechanical duct, exhaust, humidity control, fire smoke protection systems, and monitoring equipment. This project includes all necessary electrical, plumbing, low voltage, architectural and structural changes necessary to support equipment replacement, expansion, and modification to meet current design criteria as detailed. The new AHU must incorporate an internal walk-in corridor/penthouse to allow access for required maintenance. Existing Rooftop Condensing Units serving the AHU must be replaced as well. Contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials needed to perform all work required by the scope at the Mather VA Campus. The period of performance for all work is three hundred ninety-five (395) consecutive calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) for the VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS), Fresno, CA.
