The Department of the Army is seeking a software maintenance agreement for proprietary coordinate measuring machine (CMM) software owned by Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions LLC, located in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The contract, designated as W912NW26QA005, is a non-competitive solicitation issued under FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, reflecting that Carl Zeiss is the sole capable provider due to proprietary rights. The maintenance services are intended for government-owned CMMs at the Corpus Christi Army Depot in Texas, with the contract period spanning from November 14, 2025, to November 13, 2026. The procurement process is open to all responsible sources submitting capability statements or proposals, though the sole source justification confirms that only Carl Zeiss can fulfill the requirements. The solicitation emphasizes compliance with FAR and DFARS clauses, including detailed performance expectations, pricing, and delivery instructions. The justification documents highlight that market research and a statement of nonavailability support the sole source determination, with the current contract expiring in October 2025. The procurement aims to ensure continuous maintenance and support for the CMM software, critical for quality assurance and measurement accuracy at the depot. Contact points for inquiries include Edward Chilson and Carlos Bernal, with the solicitation posted on SAM.gov for further details.
